Personal Statement

Hi! I'm Alexis Rymer from Kansas City, Kansas; I have 7 years of travel softball experience in the Midwest.  I have been playing softball since the age of four.  I was one of 4 freshmen to earn playing time on my High School Varsity team, that went on to take 3rd place in the Kansas 4A softball championship.  I have the ability to play multiple positions on the field as I have played every position except pitcher, catcher, and second base.  I primarily have played 3rd base, and 1st base,  also with good speed and a strong arm I have been very good at shortstop and both corner outfield positions.  I am very coach-able and love to be challenged with new possibilities on and off the field.  I currently have a 3.72 grade point average and continue to strive to be a 4.0 student athlete.  I am looking to spend the next four years playing softball and pursuing an education in the field of Fire Science, paramedic, and exercise science.  My mother is a firefighter and I would like to follow in her footsteps after college.  I am open to going to college and playing softball anywhere in the United States.  My main goals are to get a quality education and play for a great softball program that will help me grow mentally, physically, and prepare me for life after softball and school.  I know I will be a great addition to any program out there with my versatility as a player and my attention to performing well academically in the classroom.  Thank you for your time and I look forward to what is coming in the future.  Sincerely, Alexis Rymer  Class of 2018

These colleges have reserved spots and are guaranteed to be in attendance to coach. Upon check in on Friday Aug. 5th, you will be able to meet with each college at their individual recruiting booth. Colleges will have players registration information in their coaches handbook. On Saturday Aug. 6th, each player and their assigned team will play in 3 games. Teams will rotate fields as they play each game, coaches will stay on their assigned field. Playing 3 games on 3 different fields puts each player in personal contact with 12 different coaches throughout the day. In addition, there will be more coaches walking around and watching games on their own time. At the end of the day, at the coaches farewell, players will have the opportunity to say final goodbyes to the coaches and their staff.

The Elite Camp is a one day fastpitch softball camp for female athletes in the 2017-2022 high school graduating classes. Athletes are able to work with more than a dozen high-level college coaches in a small setting (no more than 120 athletes are permitted). The Elite Camps by Jerrad Hardin are widely popular for being organized, punctual, and opportunistic for the athletes participating. Each athlete spends part of their day in skill sessions of their choice - which are led by our college coaches. Another part of their day is spent participating in scrimmages coached by the college coaches who are part of our staff for the day. Each athlete who participates will work with and play in front of every coach who is working during the day. Additionally, athletes will participate in Batting Practice, Skill Measurements using laser testing, Individual Skill Sessions, and participate in a Q&A session with the college coaches (parents are welcome as well).
