My name is Abby Leber and I’m a freshman at Tremont High School. I’ve been playing softball for about 8 years and I’ve worked hard to get to the point I am. My hard work paid off when I qualified and pitched on the 14u USSSA Future Select Elite Mid-West All American team at the ESPN Sports Complex in Orlando Florida. For my most important accomplishment academically I’ve been on the Honor Roll every year so far keeping a 3.5-3.8 GPA and taking Honor English I.
I’m very coach-able and willing to listen to anyone’s opinion to help me to improve and to play even better than before. Pitching is my primary position and every time I pick up a ball I try to improve my skills. Besides fastballs I throw a backhand change, peel drop, a drop curve, and a rise ball. I always try and be a leader to the rest of my team and give 110% in practice and games to try and motivate my team mates even more to give it their all and to not hold back.
As of right now I would like to major in Physical Therapy or Exercise Science. I am very open to location of school and the size of school. My athletic goals are to continue to play softball as long as I can. Academically I would like to receive an education that fits me and can help to prepare me for future advances in different fields. I would also love to help future softball players learn about the game and why it’s such a great sport. Thank you for taking your time to read my personal statement and viewing my profile!
