Being the oldest of four children, I am used to being a leader but at the same time, I am also used to being part of a team and love the team dynamic. So I guess you could say my love of my big family has transitioned into my love of being part of the sisterhood called softball and being part of a team that is bonded together by their love of the game.
My ultimate goal is to play softball at a competitive collegiate level. The main goal for my college and high school years is to experience personal growth in all areas of my life. In college, I would like to major in physical therapy with a concentration in sports rehabilitation. Currently to date, I have been a multi-sport athlete at the varsity level in track, softball, and cross country. I have been fortunate enough to compete at the state track meet two out of the last three years, both with relay teams(4x100m and 4x400m) and as an individual in pole vault. I was also honored to be an alternate for the varsity cross country team at state this past season. Another amazing opportunity I had was during this past softball season where I was nominated by my Jr. High coaches to represent my school at an All-State All-Star Game. I was on the East Central team and we were the runner-up team in the state. On the college softball field, I will strive to be a supportive teammate that is a dynamic player, has a positive attitude, and the utmost respect for the coaching staff. As I continue to grow throughout my high school and college career, my main goal is to remain enrolled in honors classes (high school) and maintain my 4.0 GPA in the classroom and when on the field I will try my best to be an asset to a pitching rotation, infield, outfield, and batting order. I always make sure to have confidence and self respect and to treat others with respect. I cannot wait to pursue my dream career while playing the sport that I absolutely love, surrounded by a new group of "sisters", with the support of my friends and family.
