August 2017Personal Statement
My goal throughout life has always been to do what you do with a passion. The sport of softball is my passion and has been since I was five. Recently, I have become more serious about my softball talent and wish to continue playing in college. The hard work I have put into improving my skills in athletics and academics is paying off. I am in the top 10 of my class and maintain a 4.0 GPA. I take all honor courses, including my math class being two years ahead of my current grade level. I manage to balance my time between sports and academics and exceed well in both. As a softball player, I am able to play any position except pitch. My primary position is at shortstop and I have played many seasons there. In the community, I am the secretary of Girl Up, which is an organization that helps fund money for girls in third world countries and an active member of Key Club.

- 1st place June 11-12 ASA Chillicothe IL, 2nd place June 18-19 ASA Washington, IL. I was a member of the East Peoria Express A Travel Team since the age of 8. At the end of this season the team no longer was going to exist. I was asked and played for the Bloomington Angels July28-31 at the PGF Premier Fastpitch Midwest Regional Championship at Lousville Sluggers in Peoria Illinois. We were one of the top 8 teams out of 45. I have been asked to play for this team next year and look forward to the opportunity.

Yes. Completed Enriched Geometry at East Peoria High School as an eighth grader with overall semester grades of 97% A. Completed freshman year at EPCHS with a 4.0 and took the most rigorous courses offered: Enriched Algebra II, Enriched Biology, Enriched English, and Spanish. I also enjoyed taking a business and family and consumer science elective. EPCHS does not offer AP or IB courses.Are you in AP/IB classes?

- ActivitiesFreshman: Secretary of our Girl Up Club in which we had multiple fundraisers to raise money towards the education of girls in Uganda, member of Key Club, and compete regionally and nationally dancing and tumbling for D/D Productions. 8th grade: Scholastic Bowl Team, Speech Team, and compete competitively (regionally and nationally) in dance and tumbling for D/D Productions.
