Softball has taught me a lot over the past several years. Winning the highest batting average award each year was the individual highlight of my two years of junior high. However, in both my junior high seasons, my team did not make it out of regionals, which provided a different experience then my travel team successes. These team setbacks have helped me focus on improving my strengths and weaknesses as I enter high school this year with the goal of playing college softball. I have learned the importance of teamwork, leadership and commitment through softball and the other sports I play. Off the field I was inducted into my school's Beta Club for academic achievement. I am looking for a program that suits me athletically and academically. I believe my character, work ethic and leadership skills can have a helpful impact on a college program.
