I started playing club softball at the age of 9. My interest in softball sparked when I was in the car driving past a softball field where girls were playing and I suddenly became interested. At the 12-u level I realized that this was something I wanted to do and pursue in high school and college. I began to put extra work in at practice, and making it become a lifestyle. I have watched the college girls on TV, and I realized that is something I want to do. Softball has shown me a path where I want to be in life and help me in college, other than having good grades. Paying the sport in college is another goal that I am going to achieve.
Softball has had a positive impact on my life as it has shown me leadership (on and off the field), hardworking skills, and time management. As a person it has shown me, I can work with a team and create success. But it also showed me how to handle a bad game with positivity and to not get upset, but to work harder.
