Alheli Velazquez '20 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Alhelí Velazquez, and I am currently a 10^th grader at Aurora Central Catholic High School. Ever since I was a kid I had always set the bar very high for myself; never once allowing myself to give up. I make sure to never limit what I know I am capable of achieving, and I always make sure to work toward my goals and strive for the best. I am a hardworking and determined student-athlete who is willing to go the extra mile to reach success. Throughout the academic portion of my life I am proud to say that I have remained at the top in all of my classes, always above average. Ever since a young age I have been competitive in everything ranging from academics to athletics; I always strived to win. I like to consider myself a quick learner, adaptable to every environment, and a good teammate. Sports have always been a part of my life, but softball has been the greatest influence. Because of it I have learned discipline, teamwork, time management, good communication skills, and characteristics of a good leader. My main goals are to first complete my undergraduate degree while playing the sport I love, then going on to medical school.
