It has been my dream since I was a little kid to become a collegiate athlete. I want to play at a four-year college with a good academic program. I am a very hard worker, and I am not afraid to get out of my comfort zone. Softball is often times a humbling sport, so when I mess up I make a point to understand what I did, learn from it and flush it. I try to give back to my community by helping out at my local food bank. I raised more than $1,200 for the food bank during my 8th grade school year and I volunteer almost every month. I also participate in my local 4-H club where I do community service projects often. Academics are very important to me as well. During my middle school career, I have kept a 3.9 GPA and I am going to strive to be at the top of my class in high school. I will be taking International Baccalaureate (IB) courses which will enable me to graduate high school with 24 college credits. I have always played softball with players older than I am (currently, I am playing softball at the 16-year-old level and I am 13), so I know how to hold my own and keep my composure when I am playing with girls that are bigger and stronger than I am. I hope you think that I am right for your program. Thank you for taking me into consideration.
