I’m a dedicated Catcher, 1st baseman, and contact hitter from Santa Barbara, California. I graduate in 2020 from San Marcos Senior High School. I devote most of my time outside of team practice to individual practices that will help me improve my game.
I do softball specific training weekly by going to batting lessons and catching my pitchers in private lessons. At least twice a week, I go to strength training and weightlifting to improve my overall strength and power. I take at least 150 swings outside of team practice. Offensively, I am working to increase my weight transfer in my load and have a more powerful leg drive. Defensively, I am actively working on my framing by sticking pitches more, and decreasing my pop time by improving my strength and footwork.
I want to play on a team that has a close bond and has a supportive fan base. I have been taught to always play my best and to take all criticism and use it to help me improve. As a team leader, I believe that the best way to play is to play as a team who encourages one another and isn’t afraid to help others become successful. My goal is to play for a competitive Division 1 softball program anywhere in the country.
