Emma Eastman '20 Recruiting Profile

When I was in fourth grade, my dream was to pitch for my middle school softball team because they had just lost two pitchers.  My dad told me he had a friend who could teach me.  When I turned 10, my dad’s friend started teaching me, and after three years of lessons and support of my teammates, I had led my middle school softball team to back to back league championships.

During middle school, I competed on the Academic Decathlon team which placed first one year and second the next.  My subject was Fine Arts my first year and Math the next.  I was also the Logic Team captain.  I enjoy playing piano and have taken piano lesson for five years.  With playing travel softball, competing on the Academic Decathlon team, playing piano, and completing homework and studying for tests, I have learned how to juggle and organize my workload.

In high school, my main goal is to be a scholar athlete.  I plan on making the honor roll all four years and maintain a 4.0 grade point average.  When I go to college, I want to continue playing softball and piano.  In college, I also plan to be a scholar athlete.  I am undecided on a career at this time, but hope to have a better idea in the future.
