Hi,
I am Vanessa Derringer, a 2017 Centerfielder/Shortstop. I attend Etiwanda HS in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. A very competitive Division I school located in the Inland Empire of Southern California.
I am a good student and always working hard. I recently completed a semester of ROP in Health Care. My career goal is in medicine and hope to get an RN or BSN degree.
I currently play for 18U OC Batbusters - an Elite team sponsored by Wilson and coached by Tiffani Jackson under the direction on Mike Stith. We are a championship caliber team with a very competitive schedule this fall.
I am an outstanding outfielder with speed, range, and a cannon of an arm. I am sometimes overwhelmed at the compliments made about my arm strength. I can also hold my own at short stop with good range, glove, and arm. I have pretty good power from the right side and can also slap hit.
I train at EM Speed and Power in Rancho Cucamonga and at Fitness 19. My previous hitting instructor was Dawn Casteneda and now is Tim Ramos.
My hobbies include snowboarding, working, and swimming.
