Kelley Ragan Team Crossfire #42
My name is, Kelley Ragan. I was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska. I am a Junior at Hutchison High School. Growing up in Alaska provided me with a lot of opportunities to cross-country ski and I considered that to be my sport. That all changed when I got my first chance to play softball in fifth grade. From the first time I hit the ball in gym class I knew I had found a sport I was truly passionate about.
From that point on, I have approached softball with the same focus and determination that I saw from world-class skiers on the ski trails in Fairbanks. Over the past few years, I have been working on building a solid foundation of fundamental skills. It has required a lot of hard work and long hours, but I know it is helping me become the best player I can be. I am continually looking to improve my game by analyzing what is working and what I need to improve. I am always open to constructive criticism, because I know it will make me a better player.
My educational goals are very important to me. Just like softball, I take pride in my work and I always try to do my best. It is important to me that I get good grades and take classes that challenge me. I know that my hard work in high school will help me pursue acceptance to a college that has a strong academic program in the area of science and technology. My greatest hope would be to attend a college where I can get an excellent education while playing softball at the highest level possible.
My goal is to play with a softball team that has a strong competitive spirit and a family-like atmosphere. Team building is very important to me, and I would like to play for a coaching staff that feels it is a critical part of a winning program. I also want a coaching staff that will challenge me to be the best I can be, on and off the field, while having fun playing the game I love.
