My primary goals for becoming a collegiate athlete are to compete athletically in water polo and swimming at the collegiate level, achieve higher levels of academics, and make new friends and great contacts for my future. I consider myself a team player and leader, both in and out of the water. I love the excitement of winning. My experiences in challenging competitions motivate me to focus on helping my team succeed while simultaneously elevating my skills and strategies. I train hard in the pool, weight room and in the classroom. My coaches and friends tell me that I am hardworking, loyal, trustworthy, a great teammate and friend. I understand the importance of being a student-athlete and I manage my time to balance my studies with my sports. I am proud to say that I am a straight A student, all while taking the maximum AP courses available to me. I am fluent in Spanish and took the Spanish AP test as a ninth-grader.
At the end of ninth grade, I was recognized for excellent grades over the last three years and received individual subject awards in science, social studies, and Spanish. In addition, during junior year I was hand-selected as one of four student-athletes to interview and select the new Davis Senior High School Athletic Director. Although I am very committed to school, water polo and swimming, I work as a lifeguard and swim coach, and serve my community as an assistant teacher at the synagogue for the past two years. I am proud to have raised money and coached Special Olympics swimming.
My dream is to play water polo at a competitive, collegiate level along with studying science or engineering.
