I first started playing volleyball during a family vacation. Since that moment volleyball has been a major part of my life. Volleyball has taught me many attributes such as leadership skills, discipline, diligence, team-work, etc. Being a three-time captain I have learned (am still learning) what it takes to encourage and lead a team. The highlights of my volleyball career so far are attending the USAV BJNC, in the open division, for three consecutive years and placing third (open division, U14) at the USAV Beach Junior National Championships in 2016. Unfortunately, my high school does not offer boys volleyball however, I remain involved year-round through beach volleyball, my indoor club team, participating in multiple school and club open gyms, clinics/camps, private coaching and hold the position of team manager for the girl's high school volleyball team at my school. My athletic goals during my academic years, are to compete in many more high level indoor and beach volleyball tournaments, constantly work to improve my skills and play on a college team.
My goals academically are to maintain above a 3.5 GPA and earn a spot in the National Honor Society my Junior/Senior years of high school. Although I am undecided as to what major I'd like to pursue in college, I plan to keep an open mind to new opportunities and push to do my best in general education and introductory courses until I find my career path. Performing well in school is always a priority just above volleyball. I'd like to receive more academic awards/achievements throughout high school career. Next to volleyball, I enjoy participating in school activities such as French club, sporting events, school dances and look forward to joining Key Club, Art Showcases, and more.
