Great athletes played many sports growing up I suspect. I did well and had so much fun on all those teams like the White Sox, the Broncos, the Suns and Bears. However, it wasn’t until I was exposed to volleyball that I wanted to be dedicated to only one sport. That was in early middle school.

My Dad forced me to attend a local volleyball clinic one Saturday. I was so angry, I wanted nothing to do with it. Then during a demonstration, our instructor was set a ball, and he pounded it so hard and so loud that it rocketed into the high ceiling off the floor. It gave me goosebumps, and I wanted to learn how to jump and hit the ball just like that! I think I even thanked my Dad after for making me attend.

Now, my goal with both indoor and beach volleyball (and life) is simple: to constantly get better, compete on the highest level possible and have fun along the way!
