I aspire to play volleyball in college because I am always thrilled to be on the court. When the competition and pressure get higher, I have the most fun, which makes me want to play at a competitive college that challenges me each and every day. I am always determined to work hard off of the court so when I am on the court, my best performance can show. I have been doing extra training 4 days a week, outside of my club and high school practices, because I know putting in extra time and effort is what it takes to be successful, not only in volleyball, but academically too.
I work hard academically because I know I will not be able to play volleyball forever. My goal is to continue earning grades in Honors and AP courses that will allow me to attend any school I choose. Beyond volleyball and school, I spend time giving back to those in need through National Charity League. As a member of NCL, I often babysit children who have single mothers that cannot always take care of their child. I also participate in food drives for the less fortunate.
As captain of my high school and club teams, I like to set an example of positivity and commitment to my teammates. It is very important to me to be encouraging and have a good attitude to help my teammates succeed. I strive to be the best I can be, but also be a leader and example to my teammates along the way. I make smart decisions on and off the court.
I am really looking forward to sharing the highest level of commitment with all of my future college teammates. I am truly grateful for all of the opportunities I have been given and I want to be able to look back some day and know I made the most of those opportunities. I push myself every time I show up for training and I expect to succeed every time I step on the court.
