Hayden Rhodea '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello,

Thank you for visiting my profile! My name is Hayden Rhodea, and I run Cross Country and Track and Field for Allendale High School. I am currently a freshman, and I have a 4.0 GPA. My current personal record for cross country in the 5k is 16:31.  I love running because it requires a lot of mental and physical toughness. I think that it makes you learn more about yourself by pushing you to your limits. I believe that part of what makes me different from other runners in high school is that I lead by example, and through communication. I had never run before 7th grade, but I believed that if I worked my hardest I could succeed in cross country and Track and Field. I worked hard the following years, and will continue to work hard throughout high school and college. I believe that if you're doing anything you should work as hard as possible because it is the only way to get better.

One thing that makes me different from a lot of other runners is that I also play basketball. I am currently the starting point guard on our school's Junior Varsity basketball team.  In all sports I compete in I work hard to lead by example, by pushing myself and encouraging my teammates. I also enjoy school because I love learning new things, and improving myself. I am always trying to learn new things about how to improve not only in sports, and school but in life. I am dedicated to my teams, and am always trying to help our team win. I want to help whatever college I go to win titles. My freshman year I was named MVP of Allendale's cross country team, in addition to being named 1st team all conference, and making it to the state finals.
