Hello,
My name is Paul Malafronte and I am currently a freshman at Merrimack College. I graduated from Guilford High School in the Spring of 2016 and was the captain of my tennis team my senior year. I was a 4 year varsity player and made it to the quarterfinals in the Class M doubles championships after posting a 12-3 record at #1 doubles and a 1-2 record in singles. My aspirations for college tennis are to play on a competitive team where players are ready to work hard everyday and work towards team success. What makes me a good candidate for any college tennis team is I am always ready to put in 100% no matter practice or match. I am always pushing myself and teammates to work harder and get better. All 4 years in high school I was on a very successful team so I know what it takes to work towards a championship. We won a team state championship my sophomore year in 2014 and came in second my freshman year and third my junior and senior year. What makes me differently academically is that I am an incoming sophomore with 4 years of eligibility. This is because I am currently at Merrimack college where I was thinking about walking onto the tennis team but was unable to because since I have arrived there has been no permanent coach. This along with switching my major from Athletic Training to business is why I am planning on transferring schools for the fall of 2017.
