Matthew Kermin '17 Recruiting Profile

I have had an unwavering passion for tennis since I was four years old. I am
working very hard on my game and continually improving. I currently play #1 doubles on my Varsity team and I play singles as needed. My private coach, Florin Marica is also my Varsity team coach at Saratoga High School in Saratoga, CA. I am in his clinics, teaching younger players and playing matches with challenging opponents. In addition, for many years now,  I play tennis regularly at my Tennis Club, Bay Club Courtside in Los Gatos, CA. I am on their Summer Jr. team each summer.
I am a team player through and through, and will do anything to support
my teammates. I am very comfortable in singles and doubles. I am happy to play
wherever my team needs me and always play with a positive attitude. I live by the following: I am a gentleman on and off the court and I am
always fair to my opponents and fair to myself.

I am a very self-motivated student. I work hard and take my academics very seriously. I do not drink, smoke or use any type of drugs. I like having a clean lifestyle and enjoy the athleticism that comes from being healthy.
