Nicolas Cummins '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6 foot 1 inch senior singles player from Rancho Mirage, CA. I play the number one singles varsity spot at Palm Desert High School. My team has reached the CIF Finals the two out of three years that I have played tennis for the school. Last year I was the team captain, voted MVP for the team, and received the Spring Sports Underclassmen Athlete of the Year Award. This past year I have performed the best out of all my past years playing tennis. This is the first time in my tennis career that I have reached the top 50 in the Southern California Section in my first year in a division. I feel my potential of becoming a greater player increases every day I step on the court and hope to further improve my game at a great college. I am looking for a school where I can balance my education and my tennis game. I do not have a preference on a school size nor location. I am looking into majoring in Computer Science. I feel I would be a great contribution for a Division I, II, or III tennis team. Financial Aid and scholarships may be a determining factor for me when I select a college though.
