Personal Statement

My goal is to obtain a Division 1 college scholarship in golf at a Top 100 school where I will thrive not only in my athletics but also my academics. I value my academics greatly and I always strive to do well in the classroom and obtain excellent grades. In golf, I don't have as much tournament experience as I would like to but I'm working hard and creating a busy 2018 tournament schedule. The reason I don't have as much tournament scores is I'm a competitive gymnast at the regional level and I train around 13 hours a week. Gymnastics helps me in all areas of my life because it keeps me strong and in great shape, gives me discipline, has helped me develop a strong work ethic, and has given me the opportunity to develop great time management skills and tough mentality. I've been a multisport athlete since I was six which makes me different from others because I've learned how to balance my academics and athletics, have excellent nutrition, and be a leader while also maintaining my role as a teammate.
