The NJCAA, which governs junior college athletics, offers many college swimming opportunities. Student-athletes should consider NJCAA swimming options if they aim to gain experience, improve their swim event times and improve their grades. Junior colleges in California are governed by the CCCAA.
There are 67 NJCAA and CCCAA swimming teams for men, which can offer up to 15 scholarships per team. Junior college swim coaches don’t have the large recruiting budgets that NCAA schools often have, so student-athletes can increase their chances of getting a roster spot and even a scholarship by proactively contacting coaches at schools of interest.
