Leonardo LaPorte '16 Recruiting Profile

My future is very important to me - I want to succeed academically and in the sport that I love.  I dream of going to college, having a career in Sport Management and reaching all my goals. This is only my fourth year swimming competitively and my third year in varsity.  In 2013 I was voted most improved by the Varsity Coaches. This year I broke the 8 year 100 Butterfly record with a time of 53.68 which also qualified me for states. I believe fate dealt me this hand and I want to do the most I can to achieve excellence. I absolutely love to swim. I have the spirit, drive determination and have been blessed with the wingspan (76.5 inches) and shoe size (13.5) to excel at this sport. I am a team player and motivate others to do their best as well. I am not one to give up. I want to perfect my stroke. Many have told me, both coaches and teammates alike, that I have come such a long way in such a short period of time. I want to go further!
