Andre Burke '20 Recruiting Profile

I was born on the Caribbean island of Grenada. I moved to the U.S. in 2012 and instantly wanted to play soccer. Back in Grenada I was into playing cricket, kite flying and soccer. I believe that having the opportunity to play back home in the sunshine all year round was a benefit for me to gain soccer skills.

Having the skills to play in and out of the box has given me a better advantage with foot work while playing in goal. I have been given the role of captain many times for my team and I think I give off positive energy and I encourage my teammates to go out and WIN! I strive to be my best on  and off the field and I try my best to spread the positivity.

In the classroom, I was granted the opportunity to take college courses throughout high school, to hopefully take me where I want to be as a potential engineer. I try my best to juggle both soccer and school work, I want to be successful at both.

I play lacrosse and baseball in the off season to stay fit. I know on the soccer field is where I want and need to be. I really want to make myself and family proud and I believe that soccer can help me accomplish that.
