Ryan Craig '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ryan Craig and I am a junior at Roncalli High School in Indianapolis. At school, I am involved in the Drafting program and aim to study Engineering in college. I have been playing competitive soccer since I was eight years old. At U14, my team started playing in the MRL(Midwest Regional League) and have played in the league ever since. Since I was a freshmen, I have started for the varsity team. My freshmen year we won a sectional title and lost in regionals. On my club team, I played center back or right back. On the high school team, I have played forward, midfield, and defense. Playing any field position is something I am comfortable with. My strengths are aggressiveness, work ethic, and understanding of the game. Throughout the years, I have been working on my communication and leadership skills. In the summer of 2012, I went to Spain and England with a travel team one year older than me. During this trip, we played teams from around the world in a tournament. This was a great experience and showed me how other cultures played soccer. Soccer is my passion but outside of soccer I am in German Club and Ski Club. I also do volunteer work for my local parrish and food pantries. I plan to continue playing soccer after high school at the collegiate level. No matter where I go, I plan to contribute to the team and keep improving my soccer skills.
