I am currently a Junior at Rochester High School located in Rochester, Illinois. I also play club soccer for the Central Illinois Rowdies. Despite Rochester's rich soccer history, I have been fortunate enough to start every single varsity game since day 1, where I have accumulated 48 goals and 41 assists in 3 years. Over my high school career, I have picked up the following accolades: First Team All-State (Junior Year), First Team All-Sectional (Sophomore Year), 2-time First Team All-Conference Central State 8 (Sophomore and Junior Year), and I was voted for the Pre-Season All-American Watch List for Illinois. This past year, our high school team placed 3rd in state in class 2A in Illinois. For high school, I play striker and central attacking midfielder. I feel that my best asset is my intelligence on the field, and my play-making ability. I also pride myself as a winner. It would be extremely difficult to find someone that hates to lose more than I do.
For my club team, I play central attacking midfield and occasionally outside midfield. Our club team had a stellar record last year, where we went 20-4-2, and to end the season we were ranked 4th in the state of Illinois. All the success that I have had in the past isn't solely mine. My family, friends, coaches and God deserve a ton of credit as well. With both of my brothers playing college soccer, Zach (Bradley University) and Colton (Benedictine University in Springfield), I have had the opportunity to observe and learn how to play the game correctly. I regularly study the game, and work on implementing that into my game.
Academically, I currently have a 4.17 GPA out of a 4.0 scale. By the time I graduate high school, I will have nearly a semester of college done, due to the college credit provided at my school for the high level of courses i am taking. I will be taking the ACT in late April, and will release my scores immediately after I receive them back. I love soccer, but fully understand that academics and pursuing a good future career is paramount. My goal is to find the right mix of academics, soccer, and the whole college experience.
I pride myself in having a good character, as many coaches of mine say that it's one of my best traits. I respect friends, family, teammates, coaches, and anyone who I come across. I believe that having a good character is just as important as any skill that I have.
As a fierce competitor, I love the game, and can't imagine life without soccer. The occupation that I am striving for is either a Physical Therapist or a Physician's Assistant. I work hard in anything and everything I do, and will never settle for anything less than my best.
