As a 5’11 girl coming from a smaller town, it wasn’t difficult for me to find my place in this game. However, that doesn’t stop me from working every free moment I get to improve my volleyball skills. After excellent freshman and sophomore years of both academics and varsity volleyball, I’m thrilled to be pursuing a college career in both. I play club volleyball a with a talented (and hilarious) team, with several players who also wish to seek to play at the next level. I am flexible when it comes to positioning and coaching styles. My older sister was a track and cross country runner; she was also valedictorian of her class. I get some of my determination from her. My younger sister gets her volleyball skills from me (I’m still better) and having a sister that plays makes is easy to pick up the ball and go. I work on my game in the gym, on the beach, in the basement, in the front yard, at plyometric training, and in the high jump pit, and I am looking forward to figuring out where I will play next.
