Zachary Berger '25 Recruiting Profile

As a college lacrosse player, my goal is to make everyone around me better, be a leader on the field and in the locker room, and play a prominent role in winning and making it contagious. This is what I've been able to do at every level of lacrosse since I started playing 7 years ago ... from club lacrosse, to middle school, to high school. What sets me apart is my desire to put my teammates and their accolades ahead of me and my own. I would rather congratulate or console a teammate than celebrate my own accomplishments. From being one of the original building blocks of a fledgling club lacrosse team in Queens, NY, to an anchor of my middle school and high school teams at Buckley Country Day School and Hackley School, I have learned that the best way to lift yourself up as an athlete and student is to focus on lifting up those around you first.
