Personal Statement

To whom it may concern,

Hello, I'm Randill De Asis and I plan to swim for you. Here is what separates me from the rest. I only started swimming in 8th grade, I had no knowledge of what competitive swimming was. After my first year of swimming was over I knew I had the passion and ambition to become fast. After countless failures I kept trying , there isn't anything that can get in the way between me and my goals. What I have learned from competitive swimming is that you can always do better, I use this information as motivation. I make sure that I work hard in the pool and out, I believe it's important to put as much hard work into academics as I do in the water. I am constantly striving for greatness, this year in my varsity season (2013-2014). I was able to play a big role for my team. I was able to drop 7 seconds in my 100 free and my 100 breast these two times allowed me to be in the top 8 at my county championships. It allowed me to score points for my team which is most important to me. Helping my team is always my number one priority. My coach always tell's me " three depend on one, remember that", this quote refers mostly to a relay but I apply this quote to everything I do. Because I am involved in many clubs I know that it is critical not to let people down. I always make sure I do my part, and that I give my full 110%. If you plan to consider me for your team I will be a leader, I will be hardworking and I will always commit. My goal for college swimming is to become faster and be part of something bigger than myself. Being on a team is a great feeling, you and your teammates build this connection where everybody watches out for each other. I also plan ,my goal is to go into a college and come out with more knowledge than I knew beforehand. Before I wrap us this statement I want to let you know what I believe in most; integrity, discipline, and selflessness. I live my life following these three values.

                                                                                                                                             Sincerely,

                                                                                                                                                           Randill De Asis

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
