Hello my name is Jacob Magad, I am a 2020 Lacrosse athlete. I go to Lakes Community High School which is in Lake County Illinois. I became interested in Lacrosse when I was in six th grade. Baseball was not cutting it for me, so I wanted to do something more physical. I have been playing for six years and haven’t looked back. The greatest thing I have learned from lacrosse so far is to how to be confident in everything I do. I used to think that I would never be good enough for anything or anyone. But when I scored my first goal it was the best feeling in the world. I felt very worthy and confident from that point on.
My biggest goal in life so far is to never let myself settle for less in anything I do. For example in school my goal is to be at a 4.0 GPA by the end of every semester. In lacrosse, my goal is to play in college. Once I’ve achieved that goal, my new goal will be to complete a buisness management major. Another goal for myself in college is to never let my grades slip below a 3.7 GPA. I Will be able to complete these goals because of all of the lessons I have learned in all of the sports I do. For example, I to wake up at 5:00 o’clock am ,three times a week to complete strength and conditioning exercises. Although this may be a struggle, I know it will better my athletic and time management skills. I am a fierce, bull dog style of player and will always go 110% at everything I do.
-Jacob Magad
