As a freshman I was honored to be voted team Captin and president of the golf club. One of our team goals was to win the Monterey Bay League Pacific division, which we did. Even though our team didn't advance to the CCS (Central Coast Section) playoffs I qualified as an individual to represent the team. During the season I learned the importance of leadership, teamwork, responsibility, and perseverance. I believe I would be a great asset to your program by bringing these same qualities.
Playing golf at the collegiate level has always been a dream of mine. The friendships and bonds that are developed by playing team sports are everlasting I believe. Winning as a team can be exciting. Watching and cheering your teammates on while they sink a 20 foot putt to win a tournament is something that could be unforgettable. Although winning is always the goal, it's sometimes not always the case. I remember my freshman year winning our first 4 tournaments, then losing our 5th. That loss allowed us to refocus as a team and bond even closer. As a leader I will bring a winning attitude to your program.
