I'll be the third generation in my family to be college educated, so there's never been a question that top grades and a nationally-recognized university education are expected of me. I have proven my ability thus far to balance school and multiple sports. I've spent my entire life playing sports including basketball, lacrosse, swimming (competitive) and football. My love for the game of basketball really took-off around sixth grade; however, it was not until the next year that I realized the amount of effort it would take to reach my goals. Since then, I have joined an AAU team 1.5 hours away to get exposure and coaching in a bigger team market. I could have easily joined a local team, but I wanted to push myself outside my comfort zone and expand my playing opportunities. I have realized that I am not satisfied with being just 'good.'
I aspire to play basketball at a nationally-recognized university where I might gain the academic credentials to go on to medical school. What I bring to my team is my athletic ability, work ethic, desire to win, composure and mental quickness.
