Just being an incoming freshman with no championships in grade school besides the GCYL Runner-Ups in my seventh and eighth grade year made me understand that not everything will come easy, no matter how close you get to grabbing the trophy. However, we all just came out with Runner- Up medals. That was not okay with me to accept failure. So ever since the school winter season was over I always kept a positive attitude about everything, so this summer of 2017 AAU season I played so much better when I understood that God has a plan for me and he has blessed me with so much strength to take on the challenge to have the dedication I have, to always stay positive, and to play to my best ability. Honestly I would say when I was going through a hardships back in seventh grade it changed me as a person because I grew a passion for the game. Even though I been playing ever since I was younger, I've really felt a strong bond with basketball, because I'm a very humorous guy, and I like to have fun on the court. That is why I'm Leader material as coaches always told me because I " am positive, dedicated, hard working, and fun to work with on the court."
I'm very grateful that I got accepted into Roger Bacon High School because I have developed into the great person that people tell me I am. In basketball I have been told that I am an excellent Basketball player, with great court vision, I can see a double team happening and get a great assist to my teammate. I also have a great pull up and a great 3 point shot, I can shoot contested and once I hit a lot, I will utilize the pump fake and " I'm just unable to be guarded" as one of my old coaches stated all the time, and on the other side of the ball I am a lockdown defender. Also a couple other things that sets me apart from others besides my positivity and talent is that I love to help younger kids gain confidence in their jump shot just as I do, and to get quick handles. I like to have kids look up to me, so I can be the example. I also think that school is the most important thing ad I always keep my GPA above 3.5. I like to have a great personality and have trust within other, lie my teammates, coaches, and just be respectful to whoever even if you don't know them. Also, when I hit 6’4 to 6’5 I’m still going to be deadly on the court and I’m still going to be the humorous positive, and smart player I am now. Now that I say it again I'm Tre Munson and I'm not your average point guard!
