How do I sum up why I play football and why do I want to pursue it in college....plain and simple, I love playing the game. The commitment, the dedication, the sweat , endless hours , the pain and the sense of family is what I appreciate the most. I know academics are a priority as I search for the right fit for me in a school, but I know academics and playing football makes me a better student. Football has given me more structure and focus over the past 4 years in high school, academically and physically.
One of my strengths is perseverance. Your experiences in life definitely have helped me become who I am. I lost my father and a very young age (6). What he left behind was a really amazing legacy, of following your passion and doing what you love. He was an Offshore Powerboat Race and was killed in Daytona. My mom has raised all 3 of us and supported us 100% in doing what we all loved most. Even though I wish my Dad was here, I know he is proud of the choices I have made this far. It has been one of my biggest goals to continue to play football in college.
I play both sides of the ball, but where I feel the best is defense. As I told my coach when I was a freshman, “Wherever you need me coach”, is still the answer I’ll give to be part of a team. Pretty excited to see what’s ahead for me.
