Colby Barton '22 Recruiting Profile

I think what makes me the right pick over another athlete with my  same recruting abilities on paper to a program is the ability to adapt, Excel with athletic individuals with team values and bond with teammates with a strong leadership base.  I strive and have been coached to be a full package player on and off the field.  The entire off season I practice my football skills (camps and winter indoor clinics) to advance myself and be the best player and student for the next year. I strive to learn from my mistakes on and off the field and apply those situations for the days and games to come.   My father and myself have a small farm which has taught me many values of life such as hard work, dedication and commitment.  Growing up is more than growing bigger and faster my education is very important to my fruitful Future.  I have been critiqued and help shaped for my success in the past, present as well as my future.  I have strong leadership skills I help coaches with the games and practices as well as the starting quarterback and linebacker since second grade. I study and watch football all the time as well as committed to the weight room and conditioning and Agility year around.  I get along with others very well from all walks of life. I have a good attitude and have a lot of self Drive I refuse to lose and want to succeed at the highest level that I can achieve both academics, athlete as well as everyday life.  I am a solid player and student.  I have had a 4.0 since kindergarten to present.
