I've always had a natural curiosity about how things work, how they function, and what I can do to make those things work and function better. Since I was a little kid, I've taken things apart to see what was inside. What I see when I look inside is always amazing and always more than what others see. In my football career, I seem to have the same advantage. I see things on the field that others don't see. Not just my peripheral vision, but my insight and experience help me slow plays down and see more than most others. As the game slows down, it allows me to be in a more favorable position to make plays that others would not have otherwise made. This has been one of my strengths in both the classroom and on the football field. Additionally, when I was young my father was always telling me about doing good things, to help the people smaller than myself. As I grew, and grew, the number of people smaller than me also grew. That early direction from my father help create a strong sense of responsibility in me to help others. Not just those smaller than me, but those less fortunate, less handy, less motivated, less creative, etc. Again, this has translated well for me on the football field as an offensive lineman. I don't value personal statistics, rather I take pride in the success of others where I know I had a hand in that success.
For these reasons, I believe I would be a good candidate for most team-oriented programs. One of my goals is to play Division 1 college football. I look forward to working hard in class and on the field and having great life-driving experiences while I complete school and earn my degree.
