Jake Arthur '17 Recruiting Profile

    My name is Jake Arthur, and I am a junior quarterback from Tinley Park, IL. As a junior, I led my team, Lincoln Way North Phoenix, to an 11-1 record and IHSA 6A Quarterfinal appearance after being designated as the starter in week three. Due to unforeseen financial circumstances within the school district, the high school I have been able to call my own for the last three years will close its doors at the end of the academic year. I will attend Lincoln-Way East High School for my senior season where I will bring the same work effort and positive attitude I approached this year with.

    My goal is to win a high school state championship, all while becoming the best possible quarterback and teammate I can be. After that, I hope to continue playing the game I love at the collegiate level.

     The factor that separates me the most from other athletes is my ability to perform well in pressure situations. In my junior season, I lead fourth quarter drives with under two minutes to go, converted numerous overtime scores, and executed several game-tying two point conversions. I finished the season with All Conference honors, but more importantly, our team ended with a Conference Championship and 9-0 record with five of the nine victories coming against teams that advanced well into the IHSA playoffs. I feel the best skills I posses are my quick release and strong arm.  I also have the ability to extend plays using my feet and speed. The individual statistic I am most proud of this past season is my 20-2 touchdown to interception ratio. I feel not turning the football over is one of the main keys to team success.
