In little league football, I went from not playing in games to starting on the offensive line. I worked hard to become the best athlete I could be because I always wanted to play wide receiver. My little league coaches always underestimated me. They thought I wasn’t good enough to be a wide receiver. I went on to high school determined to be a wide receiver. Well that year, I became the starting quarterback for the freshmen team. I led the freshmen team to a 5-4 record.
My sophomore year, I changed my position to wide receiver. My coach felt the wide receiver position would give me the best opportunity to demonstrate my talents and athleticism. Needless to say, my coach was right. This season I was the number one target and led the team in touchdown receptions. In addition to wide receiver, I played several positions with much success, including the backup quarterback role.
I am the type of student-athlete you would love to have on your team. I want to utilize my talents with a college or university that will give me an opportunity to compete and display my skills. The same determination I have on the field, I will apply it to my academics. I learned that hard work and perseverance is a recipe for success. Also, I am confident that I will be a positive impact to your football program and to the college or university.
