James Stanton '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is James Stanton.

I am a 6'3" 295lb offensive lineman that attends Los Alamitos High School in Southern California. I was named to the 2016 All Sunset League First Team and to the Long Beach Press Telegram Dream Team - Honorable Mention.

I am a three year varsity Letterman and a two year starter. My primary position last season was guard but I have also played center and tackle.

My goal is to find a college that not only has strong academics but also a strong football program. Education will play a major role when it comes to making a decision with what college I will attend. 

I would characterize myself as a hard worker, a good listener, a fast learner and someone who is always looking for ways to improve. I love challenge and competition. I strive to be the best I can be in the classroom, on the football field, in the weight room and in all other aspects of life.

I realize that my college education is critical to my future and life after football. I plan on majoring in Criminology or Communication and am looking for a great academic and athletic college atmosphere where I can contribute to a successful team and achieve my potential both on and off the field.

I love the game of football and want to play in college if given the opportunity.
