Alexa Pitts '20 Recruiting Profile

I am a class of 2020, 5’7” Varsity Goalkeeper for Hempfield High School, and for my club team Sutter’s Brigade, in Lancaster, PA. I was the starting Varsity Keeper at my High School as a Freshman, earning the position over a Junior and Senior, and I have maintained the Varsity Keeper position currently in my Sophomore year. As of October 7^th, with 2 games left in the season, I am the #1 ranked Keeper in Section 1 of the Lancaster/Lebanon League with a 79.32% save percentage, 179 shots, with 142 saves. This past spring, at 14 years of age, I played for the Sutter’s Brigade’s U19 team in the National Hockey Showcase. I was at a 96.2% save percentage, with 27 shots, and 26 saves in 6 games, as we went on to win our pool. When not playing Field Hockey, I am focused on maintaining my 4.0GPA, and stay in shape by being a sprinter for my High School Track Team. I am a member of the Mini-THON committee, Varsity Club, Renaissance Club, and participate annually in the Lancaster County Leadership Summit. My goal is to find a University with a high level of academic and athletic standards that will challenge me and prepare me for a successful future.
