Sarah Lamberty '21 Recruiting Profile

I see my college years as a time to better myself both academically and athletically and to prepare myself for life after school. While I do not know what course of study I will pursue, my goal is to attend law school and become an attorney. I consider myself to be a very dedicated student with an open-minded attitude when learning new things. These characteristics not only have an impact on my academic pursuits, but my field hockey career as well. I carry these traits from the classroom to the field.

On the field, my coaches all comment on how well I listen to directions and execute game or practice plans. When playing, I put the team’s success ahead of my own. I am very coachable, and I am willing to step up in leadership positions.  This year as a freshman, I was able to assist some less experienced players develop their field hockey skills by working with them during practices.

Two things most people notice about my game are my speed and athleticism.  As a freshman starter on varsity, I led the team in goals and points. I had two game winning goals and one goal in our only state tournament game this season.  My game play is smart and aggressive, and I’ve been told I have a high field hockey IQ.  I was a starter for my club team at the 2017 National Club Championship, and I played a significant amount of minutes, including being on the field at the end of close games.  I believe I can be an asset to any college field hockey program because of my work ethic, positive attitude, and skills. I will be a positive addition to any college community.
