My name is Vanessa Costa, I am 16 and in my Junior year of high school. I have been playing field hockey for 3 years now and have quickly fallen in love with the sport. I've played competitive soccer for over 10 years, primarily as a goal keeper, but field hockey has quickly become my preferred sport. I am a varsity starting forward and had a great season this year, as one of the top 2 scorers for our team. I play for Mystix club team and recently attended Disney Showcase and Festival. I'm confident that field hockey is a sport that I can compete very well in and would very much like to take my skills to the next level and play in college. As a player, I am very strong, aggressive and always looking for a way to get the ball to the goal. I've been told I have great instincts in terms of placement and where the ball is going. Regarding college choices, I am looking for a good school that will provide me with significant playing opportunities as well as a good education.
