John (Jack) Mangan '20 Recruiting Profile

My baseball story began when I decided to join a team when I was ten years old.  I was nervous because the other kids had been playing together for years.  Once I got started I knew that baseball was the sport for me.  I learned a lot by listening to my coaches and trusting my instincts on the field.  I’ve had many coaches who have taught me the fundamentals of the game. As a freshman on the varsity team this year I had to set goals and prove to my coaches that I deserved to be on the field.  I proved to them that I earned a starting spot on the team.

My travel baseball experience has enabled me to excel at a higher level and to face competition with determination.  I am a highly motivated player willing to work hard in order to achieve success at a higher level.  I’m looking for a college that will provide me the opportunity to obtain a great education as well as a comprehensive baseball experience.
