September 2017Personal Statement
I am a 6'0 200 lb. sophomore from Altoona Area High School (6A) in Altoona, PA that will graduate high school in 2020. I have a 96.6% GPA and I have never had a final grade lower than 90%. Also, I have received Perfect Attendance Awards in 7th and 9th grade and missed only one day of school in 8th grade.
Baseball has taught me the importance of working as a team, but also improving individually to make a team stronger. It has also taught me patience and showed me that I need to work to achieve my goals and that I must earn my spot on the team. As a 9th grader, I tried out for the JV/Varsity baseball team and was the last player cut. While some players would have possibly been dejected, I used this to motivate me to work harder and improve my skills. I have been invited to fall work outs for my Varsity team and I am confident that I will make this year's spring team.

- Led the team in BA (.515), hits (35), doubles (10) and RBI (26). Limited in pitching due to injury, but was 2-0, giving up 9 hits, 2 ER in 8.2 innings pitched while striking out 12 and walking 6.
