My goal is to play collegiate baseball and to get my degree in sports medicine. I've always been a natural leader on and off the field. I have always been a utility player on my teams however my primary position has been Pitcher. When I am not pitching I usually play 1st or 3rd base. I am willing to be a team player and play wherever is needed. I also had the privilege to play in the Baseball Factory Under Amour World Series at Pirate City in Bradenton, Fl. This is one of the highlights in my life thus far. It was confirmation that I could play with some of the best players my age in the Nation. I was looking forward to returning this summer to play however due to a broken wrist on my glove hand I have been sidelined. I look forward to future events with the Baseball Factory to help make me a better player. I have also enjoyed playing in an instructional fall ball program through the University of Oregon baseball program. I can not wait to get back onto the field this fall.
I am looking forward to being a part of leadership in high school. I enjoy working with others and encouraging those around me to achieve a common goal. My family and faith is very important to me. I strive to have integrity in everything I do whether it be in school, at home or on the field. I've always strived to be respectful and responsible to everyone around me no matter how they treat me or others. I am very involved in my church and youth group. This has helped me keep priorities in order and help keep a balanced life between family, church, school and sports.
I realize that I am a student athlete and not a athlete student. I have taken adjustments in my school schedule this past year to reflect that. I gave up my elective to take study hall so I can get my school work done on time and keep my grades up. This allowed me to focus on family, church and sports in the afternoon and evenings. I am looking forward to taking classes in High School that will prepare me for College. I am going to work hard this next school year to make a college prep program called AVID.
