Personal Statement

Thank you for taking the time to view my profile.  My goal is to attend a quality school with a major that will help me get into law school.  Also, I want to play baseball for a program that is competitive with excellent coaches who can help me reach my full potential.  Right now, I have a year of college completed as a "dual credit" student taking both high school and college credit at the same time.  I'd like to discuss the options at your school soon.  Thanks!

  • INF – Arm strength will continue to develop as he matures (68 mph). Pitching – FB = 73 CV = 58 Change = 65 Needs to finish his pitches by driving the back leg instead of dragging it to help increase velocity. Big frame will allow for more velocity has he matures. Work on breaking ball command and continue to develop the changeup as it was the best pitch on Saturday
  • Camp/Event
  • Malone University
  • 10/14/17 to 10/14/17
  • Pitched and hit. Arm strength 3/5 with comments: a) nice base to work with and b) Will throw harder with strength and long toss. Mechanics 3/5 with comments: a) Delivery promotes strikes and b) Clean arm action.
  • Camp/Event
  • Play for TEAM PBR at WSU (Invite Only)
  • 9/30/17 to 10/01/17
  • A two-way prospect in the 2020 class. On the bump he uses a quicker tempo and delivery has some effort. Showed long back, short though arm action as arm moves through a high-¾ slot. Fastball will stay mostly straight through the zone at 67-70 mph. Spins his breaking ball well, giving it depth on an 11/5 plane. Threw the pitch with confidence and located it in the zone regularly. A right-handed bat that starts in a tall, balanced setup. Uses a double tap timing trigger with lower half while moving hands back prior to launch. A front foot hitter that takes a level to slightly downhill path to the baseball. Swing shows definite strength with developing bat speed. A line drive type with more to come as he matures. Top exit velocity was 81 mph. Frame fits the first base position. Uses quick footwork off the bag and does a nice job of creating efficient throwing lanes prior to fielding. Ball skills are adequate and he looked well versed at the position. Threw across the diamond with 69 mph arm strength.
  • Camp/Event
  • Freshman Free Showcase
  • 1/14/17 to 1/14/17
  • 1/14/17 On the mound the right-hander has a quicker tempo and lands in line to home plate. Arm action has some stiffness in the back with arm speed still developing. Works through a near over the top slot with his fastball sitting 63-65 mph. His best off speed pitch is his 11/5 shaped breaking ball that had some sharpness to it and decent depth 55-57 mph. Also displayed a changeup near fastball arm speed at 59-61 mph.
