Personal Statement

I am really looking forward to college and beyond. As a Junior, I have not yet decided on my field of study. I am interested in something related to sports, but also enjoy math and science. My approach to baseball is a focused combination of student and athlete. I place an equal importance on my education and on field performance. I have always been a versatile player and feel I am an excellent "Big Picture" component in each game. I am comfortable throwing a fast ball past an opposing batter as well as turning a double play with the infield. I take pride in always being aware of the next play that needs to happen. My personality may project a quiet demeanor; however I am very competitive playing baseball. I do my best to lead by example and encourage my teammates to play their very best. I love the game of baseball and really want it to be a part of my college experience.

FB: 85-86 BB: 71-73 CH: 68-70 Comments: Good deception in delivery as it is important to make hitters uncomfortable and tough for them to pick up ball. Good arm strength with quick arm. Lower half works with good direction towards plate. Gets underneath changeup at times which flattens it out. Continue throwing this pitch with good arm speed and stay on top of ball which will create better deception on pitch. Overall, you have a good arm and can pitch at a high level in college. Quick tempo delivery with good direction. Really attacks the zone and aggressiveness on the mound. From a loose, high-3/4 slot his fastball sat 82-84 mph with good command and able to pitch at the bottom of the zone. His curveball has late 11/5 tilt at 71-73 mph and showed a changeup at 71 mph with good arm speed and some fade to it. In the infield he tends to field the ball into his body with a slow transfer. Showed 82 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that start open and gets to even. Stays balanced in the box with a flat path, but needs to get foot down sooner to be on time. Registered top exit velocity of 82 mph and ran 4.9 home to first
