Baseball is my greatest gift. Ever since I first stepped on the field I have wanted to play for as long as I can. I don't expect any reward for playing, just the opportunity to play another game is reward enough for me.
I may not be the most talented on the field but I will be the hardest working. My whole life I've been taught to respect the game and always play my hardest whether we're losing by ten or winning by twenty. I have had the privilege to compete alongside very talented players and create one-for-all relationships. Because of this I have learned that a win for the team is far more important than a low ERA or a high batting average.
I am always looking to push myself to be stronger in every aspect of my life whether it is amongst family and friends, in the classroom, or on the field. I am a firm believer in approaching the hardest obstacles in front of me and using them to learn and better myself. The potential of failure does not influence the decisions I make because I know failure is a great teacher.
I do not fear failure but I do fear being ordinary and I use that to push myself to a better future. I look forward to attending a college where I will be challenged to do my best and will be given an opportunity to become the best I can possibly be. I aim to attend a college where I can play baseball in a competitive environment and continue to love the game that I have for so long.
