Hello- My name is Peyton Smith. I am a young (August 30th, 2003) 2021 high school graduate. I love baseball more than just about anything else. What I love the most about the game is the process, the hard work that's required to improve. I enjoy busting my tail in the weight room or batting cages, or even running sprints, but more than anything I love pitching. I also have been a life-long student of the history of the game. I love reading about guys like Roger Maris and his home run chase in '61, and guys like Ty Cobb and his reputation as a bad guy, and especially enjoy learning about the Splendid Splinter. Because of him and "Who's Your Daddy" Pedro Martinez, I am a Red Sox fan.
I enjoy school and learning in general. I will be taking all College Prep and Honors Classes during my freshman year of high school. I have already taken the PSAT but am a little young for the SAT. At this point I do not know what I want to major in but I have several ideas in mind. Here are some of the areas of study I am interested in: Law, Construction Engineering, Environmental studies, petroleum engineering, but fortunately I don't have to decide yet.
When I am not working on improving my baseball skills, I enjoy fishing and hunting, and doing carpenter work with my dad who's a general contractor. I also enjoying watching football and playing and watching basketball.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile and I hope you will consider me as a student athlete at your school.
