Mack Timmer '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mack Timmer and I love the game of baseball.  I have been playing it since I was 8 and it has taught me so much about myself and who I can be as a person.  It is my desire to play this game as long as I am able to do so.  God has blessed me with some talent, and I would like to take that as far as I am capable.   I am extremely coachable and believe in hard work and discipline as the foundation of anything that I do.  That has been modeled to me by generations of athletes in my family that have competed at the college level.  It is a gift to be able to play sports, and I do not take that for granted.  I believe baseball has helped me develop a work ethic, leadership skills, and character that I could not have obtained elsewhere.  It is these lessons that I will take with me into a business career or even coaching after my playing career is done.  I enjoy all aspects of the game, but the competition, skill development, and mental side of the game really interests me as well. It takes character, hard work, and great effort to be good at this game, and that is exactly what I strive to obtain.  I am a great teammate and very supportive the other players on the team, especially when they need encouragement. I am considered a leader on both my High School varsity team(started as freshman), and my travel team.  I would love to have the opportunity to play, and humbly believe that I would be a great addition to any team.
